Let’s talk about child support: Why is it when women or men are receiving child support they don’t at least save half of the child support money for kids future? The courts should make it mandatory that at least half the child support money be put up until the kid turns 18 or 21. What do you think??????

Neither of my daughters recieve child support from their fathers (2 children by 2 marriages).
However they both draw money off of me since I became disabled after I had 3 strokes by the age of 30. I would love to be able to put up half of what they get and invest it in a funf for their future, however it takes everything that I have to just pay the bills an buy the necessities each month.

Wow, Lesley that’s an incredible Testimony you just gave, I’m truly sorry to hear what you & your daughters are going through. I was wondering if your daughters are under the age of 18, if so you can still go after the Fathers for some type of child support to help you out with your daughters depending on what state you live in. I’m a husband for a Second time, I’ve paid child support for two of my kids who are now 18 and older, so I truly understand. We as men need to step up and do our part. It’s really sad to hear how so many men don’t live up to their responsibilities but enjoyed laying down with women to help make the baby. Please do your research and let me know how things turnout. Also, I want to let you know, I’m sorry to hear about you having three strokes and now you’re disabled. I also want to apologize for taking so long to respond, I’ll be praying for you and your family. J&M Henry
